"Are you being tricked?"
“All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.” ― "The Art of War," Sun Tzu
In Genesis, Eve is explicitly instructed to avoid one thing. Just one: Don't eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Satan asks her, "Did God really say that?" Satan then proceeds in his role of bringing humans into millenniums of depravity. Many consider this event as the earliest example of deception on record.

Consider mainstream media: Do you know the intentions behind the performance?
Consider the internet: Do you know the intentions behind the performance?
Speakers including Ben Shapiro, Jordan Peterson, Dennis Prager, Mike Gallagher, Eric Metaxas, John Stonestreet, and Sebastian Gorka have taken to podiums, news outlets, and social media to expose the mechanics behind and the intention of The Performance.
“And thus I clothe my naked villainy With odd old ends stol'n out of holy writ; And seem a saint, when most I play the devil.” ― William Shakespeare, Richard III
