Family Systems Management
Creative systems to help any family thrive
Women
Healthy women = Healthy families
Children
Healthy families = Healthy children
I have 15 years experience working with kiddos (children from birth-16 years), from my local experience focused on child social development, to family and community outreach. As a professional, I have worked alongside teachers who require behavioral insight and planned intervention for students both on and off the spectrum. I was a high school teacher working with teens specifically facing emotional and behavioral disabilities, where my academic contributions became the outline of all lesson plans used in that school. I am a god-mommy to two incredible kiddos and am deeply involved in their lives. I have served as a mentor for local students (9-14 years old) in the Boys and Girls Club, volunteered as a caregiver-relief agent for foster families (infants-4 years old), and worked as a camp counselor for 6-7-year-old Vietnamese adoptees. Within a family unit, all members' needs and personal contributions are considered when designing a climate wherein all can thrive.

Note: This nanny is CPR/1st Aid certified, has passed both state and national background check, and also completed a driving records check (Two strikes in 365 days? That particular nanny will not be transporting your kiddos around in a vehicle).
As subcontractors under J-A, we ensure these nannies are equipped to help your family, while ensuring fair and very livable compensation for their commitment to excellence with our J-A name and standards. Let's leave it at this: The nannies working with us have left notable childcare industries to work with J-A because of our culture dedicated to serving the people who work with us, as well as those in our client-base.
As a college grad with 10 years of private tutoring experience (ages 4-17), I find joy in seeing the growth in understanding and academic advancement of my tutoring clients. A tutor for the Boys and Girls Club, I taught students ages 6-12 in History and English. Teaching life skills training courses in a local homeless recovery program for men and women then prepared me for my position as a high school teacher. There, I taught high school Math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry), Social Studies, Language Arts, and Science (Biology, Life Science, and Chemistry) in a private school dedicated to specialized education for teens with emotional limitations. In all these years, I have learned this: People must fall in love with learning before they can understand its benefit. Individualized teaching is my specialty; my knack for bringing order to chaos ensures a safe, constructive, and driven learning environment for your student.

"I am a college professor and education is critical to me. When my two middle school boys began to struggle in school and would not let me assist them (professor mom just doesn't fly around here), I turned to and found Angie . She works for me as a part-time tutor for my boys. I am impressed with her professionalism, level of preparedness, and ability to really connect with my boys. She always arrives on-time and well prepared with her own lesson plans in math, reading, science, or social studies. She works extremely well one-on-one with each boy. She walks through problems with them, teaches them how to think outside of the box, and encourages them every step of the way. In addition to her incredible tutoring techniques, she is an excellent communicator. She advises me of areas in need of improvement and areas well comprehended by my boys. I hired her to tutor them over the summer but plan to keep her through the coming school year so my boys can continue to grow and learn. I highly recommend Angie as a personal or group tutor. Her compassion, focus, and enthusiasm are contagious!"
"I love Angie, she puts 100% in my son's tutoring, she really got to know his strengths and weaknesses and she goes above and beyond what is asked of her, I highly recommend Angie as a tutor."

"Angie (Angela) helped my 13-year-old (7th grade) daughter, who, despite really trying hard, was having rough times with math. She (Angie) intuitively found ways to truly connect with my kiddo, and tailored their sessions to best suit my daughter's learning style, while making the whole process seem fun and almost effortless. I can honestly say that more progress was made by my daughter in 3 months with Angie's help than in a year-and-a-half with her school teacher. One size does not fit all when it comes to tutoring, and we cannot possibly overstate how fortunate we were to retain Angie's services! Highly recommend her, 100%!"
