First I wanted to simply say Happy New Year to you! I pray that you are invigorated and filled with hope-FuLL anticipation of all the good things God has planned for you this year!
I have to admit, this journey of addressing the challenges that black professional women face has been an incredible experience. I’m really excited about addressing today’s challenge topic! That challenge is:
“How Do I Generate Revenue That Will Cause Me To Stand Out?”
The reason for my enthusiasm is because, the solution works, regardless of the industry! That Solution, is the Lord God Almighty Himself! I know, I know…it seems like a blanket statement, right? But just hang in there with me for just a moment because this is going to be good.
As I’ve stated before, mindset is an important factor because what you think about is what you’ll bring about. There is nothing more important than having the mindset of the truth of God’s character, God’s desire for your life, and God’s word. With that stated, let’s load up:
“Beloved, above all I wish that you prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” (3 John 2 NLT)
“The Lord will guarantee a blessing on everything you do…” (Deuteronomy 28:8a NLT)
“The Lord will send rain at the proper time from His rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do.” (Deuteronomy 28:12 NLT)
I listed these Scriptures because it is vitally important to know in your “knower” that God truly wants you to prosper. He wants your work to be abundantly blessed. Take these Scriptures, think on them throughout your day every day, because your life will ALWAYS follow your dominant thoughts, So you say, that is great, CarmenAlesia. Truly it is, but how do I practically get these Scriptures to become an actuality at work? Great question, and here’s how you do exactly that:
You spend time with the Lord!
You weren’t expecting that to be so simple, were you? That is the exciting part about it. It really is that simple. Now here’s some more truth to equip, encourage, and empower you.
Ephesians 1: 8 tells us that, “He (God) has showered His kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding”. And if you need to access that wisdom, James 1:5 tells us to ask God for it and He will generously give it to us”.
“Call to me and I will answer you and show you mighty things which you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3)
Psalm 138:2 says that as soon as we pray God answers us.
This is absolutely incredible because God actually wants to tell us more than we want to know! In light of this incredible news, as you enter into your time with the Lord with your journal and pen here are the 3 steps to take:
Start with praise and thanksgiving. “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful unto him, and bless His name.” (Psalm 100:4) and “ Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase, and God, even our own God, shall bless us.” (Psalm 67:5-6). So praise Him for simply being God Almighty, thank Him for having already planned for your prosperity. Focus on the Lord and all His goodness.
Simply ask him how to generate income that will cause you to stand out. “Ask and it shall be given, seek and ye shall find, knock and the door will be opened to you”(Matthew 7:7). It’s important to be sure to be very specific with your questions. Write them and the date you asked. And make sure to leave a space for the answer, because as soon as you pray, God answers.
Be still. Psalm 46:10 tells us to "Be still and know that I am God”. So sit quietly with your pen and paper, and write what comes to mind.
I firmly believe that spending quality AND quantity time with the Lord, the Source of your blessings is THE pivotal piece that can catapult your results to success beyond your wildest imagination….Ephesians 3:20 tells that “He’s able to do exceedingly abundantly above what we could ask or think according to the power that works in you”. So operate with the power of almighty God in you, and brace yourself for the incredible blessings that will come pouring into your life…not just professionally, but in every area of your life!
